Wonder why the world is angry at Americans? Each U.S. consumer devours as much as three Germans, six Mexicans, 14 Chinese, 38 Indians, or 168 Bangladeshis ... worse still, we waste more than half of the energy we consume -- that's scandalous! One by one, a household or a company at a time, we must do better, starting TODAY.
Energy is the shaft Multinational Corporations use to wave us. Isn't it high time we stopped letting them wave us in their breeze? As consumers of energy, our expensive discomfort should serve as a constant reminder that "the only way to win this game is not to play."

Here's our plan: one lightbulb, one home, one village at a time, make incremental improvements in our energy use. At this site you will find proven ideas for living well while reducing dependence on fossil fuels.
The stone age didn't end because our distant ancestors ran out of stones. The petroleum era is ending because people around the world are finding safer, better, cheaper, more nature-friendly ways to harvest and use energy.
Solarnet gathers project plans and strategies that help us reform our energy habits one step at a time. Old and new technologies can help us reduce consumption of fossil fuel resources before this winter ends. Who knows what wonders can be made out of petrochemicals, if we don't just flame them all off ?
Our children and grandchildren, not to mention all the planet's other creatures, deserve to breathe unpolluted air, swim in clean water, and inherit precious petrochemical resources for future durable use. |
