Caspar: a Sunday Walk in May      part 4
feet, keep on walkin' feet, keep on walkin' feet, keep on walkin' feet, keep on walkin'
Time to climb back up the bluff to town and have our afternoon tea...

The summer bridge across Caspar creek
Someone has constructed the annual "summer bridge" at the shallowest neck between the lagoon and the lower mill pond.

The lower mill pond (pictured below) sometimes has a bridge across -- built by storms with the last of the mill deck underpinings -- but not this year. This year's storms undermined the old brick wall. The mill straddled the creek here, and drew some of it power from a dam where the trees start.

the site of Caspar Mill
Zopelotes (Turkey Vultures) soaring over the riparian. This pair did another fly-by, as requested, so I could get their picture.

The old right of way between Caspar and Pine Grove gets overgrown with a thornless berry. It looks impassable, but walkers and deer can press right through. Here Rochelle peeks back to see if I've gotten lost.
